01. Zip 2
Did you know which was the first company owned by Musk? It’s Zip 2 that he founded at the age of 24 in 1995. At that time, computers were not everywhere and people used to find local businesses via directories.
Musk founded a solution to this problem with the idea to connect maps and business listings in databases. He started Zip 2 and later struggled to find valuable investors. A year later, he got an investment of $3 million but stepped down from the post of CEO.
