Rohit Sharma will be the next captain for T20 Internationals & One Day Internationals after ICC T20 World Cup 2021, as per the reports. Last month, Virat Kohli announced he's stepping down from captaincy. Here’s what he said on his Twitter page,
“I’ve decided to step down as the T20 captain after this T20 World Cup in Dubai in October. Understanding workload is a very important thing and considering my immense workload over the last 8-9 years playing all three formats and captaining regularly for the last five to six years, I feel I need to give myself space to be fully ready to lead the Indian team in Test and ODI cricket”
Now, Virat Kohli won’t be the captain of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Speculations and rumors predict Rohit Sharma is going to hold the grips of T20I as Indian Captain. Rohit Sharma has engaged in 43 tests matches, 227 ODIs, and 111 T20I. His performance proved him to be the most successful captain in the entire history of IPL with 5 trophies named in favor of Mumbai Indians.
