Eczema is a kind of skin disease, due to lack of dry skin. It is a condition in which skin turns red and itchy. A very common skin disease that starts in childhood.

There is no specific reason for the disease but it can be long-lasting and not contagious. It can cause dry skin, itchy skin, rashes especially behind the knees and near the elbow.

There might be differences in symptoms from person to person. But here are some of the common:

There is no permanent solution to this disease. But you can try to cover the impact with little care. Here are some of the options you can use for treatment:

  1. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has many benefits it from antibacterial to moisturizer. Use raw coconut oil on your skin to moisturize skin.

  1. Petroleum Jelly

These can be sticky and not glamorous but these are the best when it comes to moisturizing your skin.

  1. Aloe Vera

One of the best natural remedies is Aloe Vera gel. It has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties in it. You can use it on your skin.

  1. Colloidal oatmeal

Colloidal oatmeal is well known as Avena sativa, is a natural remedy. It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties in it, which improves skin roughness, dryness, itchiness.

  1. Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil extracts from Melaleuca Alternifolia tree. It has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and wound healing properties in it. You can mix tea tree oil with olive oil also. It is very good for the skin.

  1. Diet

Your food has a very huge impact on skin, eat balanced and proper hydrated food which gives your skin proper nutrition and proteins.


The disease starts affecting from childhood, and there is no treatment from which you can permanently stop Eczema. But you can try to prevent your skin from the disease. Here are some options:

  1. Moisturize your skin daily, at least twice a day.
  2. Don’t use hard products on your skin, like soap, perfume, etc.
  3. Wear comfortable fabrics
  4. Bath with warm water for less than 15 minutes.
