Indian Cricket Team is losing another great player, women's cricket team captain Mithali Raj has announced retirement from all formats of international cricket. She gave this information through Twitter with a post thanking all her fans for love and support.
In the tweet, she also mentioned that she would focus on her second innings. However, she has not revealed what this second innings will be. See the full post here

Mithali debuted as a cricket player in the year 1999 when she was only 16 and since then she has been giving an unbeatable performance on the ground. The 39-years old cricketer has more than 10 thousand runs in her kitty and with experience of playing for the World Cup.
Mithali has played more World Cup matches than any other women cricketer in the world. She has also shown her caliber of becoming a captain and led the team for World Cup matches twice in 2005 and 2017.
Her massive score card has brought her the title of Lady Tendulkar of the cricket world. Mithali is also the highest run-getter in the country in the T20I format. Her last international game was against South Africa where she hit 68 runs.
Only she is the one who scored 7 fifties in ODIs consecutively. For her contribution to the cricket industry, she was awarded the highest honor- Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna. The Arjuna award holder is also honored with Padma Shri Award.
After giving so much to the ground and cricket industry, Mithali is taking retirement at the age of 39. But, this is not the end. She is starting a new chapter in her life about which she didn’t disclose much and concluded her message with the words
"This journey may have ended but another one beckons as I’d love to stay involved in the game I love and contribute to the growth of Women’s cricket in India and world over.”
