  • Sonam Kapoor 

When it comes to dumb statements, Sonam Kapoor always tops the list. She always manages to be in limelight, although, not for her acting skills but her stupid comments. 

Once Sonam Kapoor said on a talk show that the uglier you are, the better actor you are. Well, the remark didn't go well with the audience and people started trolling her for her comment.

  • Alia Bhatt

This one is rather light-hearted and one of the funniest moments on Koffee with Karan. 

Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, and Alia Bhatt were invited to the talk show, where, Karan asked the name of the President of India. Since it was a buzzer round, Alia hurriedly named Prithviraj Chauhan, while Pranab Mukherjee was the President.

The answer just led to hysterical laughter amongst the actors. Who knew that it would become a widespread meme? 

Although this is not the only time when the actress said something dumb. In various press conferences, talk shows, and interviews she has said some dumb things that turned out to be great jokes.

  • Shilpa Shetty

We all know that Shilpa Shetty is concerned about the education of children. But the actress misinterpreted George Orwell's novel Animal Farm and unwittingly tweeted about it.

She tweeted that including books like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter in the syllabus can be a great move as it cultivates imagination and creativity in students.

Her tweet also read that books like Little Women can encourage respect towards women at a young age. She added books like Animal Farm can teach children to love and care for animals.

Hence, such books should also be added to the syllabus. Little did the actress know that Orwell's Animal Farm is about a dystopian society and the Russian Revolution of 1917.

The book is a social commentary on the Stalinist era in the Soviet Union. It has nothing to do with care for animals.

To this, Shilpa Shetty started justifying her tweet, which led to a massive trolling of the actress.

  • Vivek Oberoi

Actor Vivek Oberoi is known for his philanthropic work. But the actor too made an absurd comment during an interview. 

Vivek said that his role in Krrish 3 as Kaal was as good as Heath Ledger’s Joker. The actor played the role of Kaal, which was an amalgamation of several original antagonist characters in the X-Men series.

Vivek Oberoi also went on to compare his acting to Amjad Khan's portrayal of Gabbar in Sholay. He also compared his acting skills to Amrish Puri’s role as Mogambo before dropping the ledger comparison.

Although, later the actor denied comparing himself with Heath Ledger. He stated that his role was inspired by Joker but it was never compared.

  • Mallika Sherawat

Mallika Sherawat couldn’t do well in Bollywood and slowly faded away from the limelight. Although the actress manages to grab the attention of the audience with her controversial statements and publicity stunts. 

Mallika once got the opportunity to meet the 44th U.S President - Barack Obama. After meeting him, Mallika made the most bizarre statement of her life. She said that her life is similar to Obama's.

Also, she mentioned that she is a self-made actress. According to the actress, she is from Haryana but modifies the guidelines of the market with her performances, and so does Obama. 

She believes that she joined an industry where people with certain surnames rule Bollywood, yet she made her own identity. That's why she thinks that both of them are altering the principles of the game in their way.
