I became a Superman fan as a kid because I related to him. An immigrant, a sense of justice, and a secret identity. His son, Jon Kent is coming out in the comics. I’m proud of @DCComics & @TomTaylorMade for giving young LGBTQ+ people a hero of their own. https://t.co/Sd4n9W9471— RoBOOert ???? Garcia ???? (@RobertGarcia) October 12, 2021
A big “congrats” to my good friend @TomTaylorMade, who has all my support. A heartfelt “welcome” to everyone who saw today as GREAT news, and especially those who now have a Superman that they can more easily identify with as a result.— Phillip Kennedy Johnson (@PhillipKJohnson) October 12, 2021

Honestly, this is going to make a huge impact on so many LGBTQ+ young people across the world. To see themselves in a hero like Jon Kent. I’m so proud of you, @johntimmsart and @DCComics. It’s brave and historic.— RoBOOert ???? Garcia ???? (@RobertGarcia) October 11, 2021

I try not to judge people. But the way some people have reacted to Jon Kent #Superman coming out as bisexual makes me sincerely believe that some people don't deserve this character.— DLKeatis (@DLKeatis) October 12, 2021
I... I just don't understand how anyone can be a Superman fan AND a bigot. pic.twitter.com/ZnCQoIYOnQ
Maybe one day they’ll understand that queer character are not made for teaching kids to be queer, but to teach them that there’s nothing wrong in being who you are and loving who you want to love.#Superman ????️????— Daniele Di Nicuolo (@DiNicuolo_) October 12, 2021
A quick thread about #Superman coming out as bisexual. As a general rule it annoys me that people who know nothing about comics drive discourse about a format they haven't read in 20 years but people are shocked or supportive - I'm cautiously optimistic pic.twitter.com/p1YZ3epOgA— Dr. Jason Johnson (@DrJasonJohnson) October 12, 2021
