For all those people who want to try these sports but aren’t familiar with swimming, worry not. You don’t need to know swimming to try out these thrilling activities. 

Let your inner water baby come out and indulge in these exciting water sports in Thailand. There is something for everyone here right from parasailing to wakeboarding. Let’s get started:

1. Scuba Diving

An exciting water sport among tourists and locals, Scuba diving is one of the most popular adventure sports in Thailand. Just dive into crystal clear waters and get lost in beautiful marine life. 

When: East coast provides all year round diving while on the west coast, diving is available between December-April

Where: Koh Tao and Koh Samui in East coast, Phuket, Similan Islands, Hin Daeng, Hin Muang and Surin Islands on West coast

Swimming: Not required

Cost: The cost starts from 3000 Baht, varying according to the site or the number of dives. However, the cost of equipment is included


2. Banana Boat

When: Cold and dry season, from September to April

Where: Popular at Phuket and Pattaya

When: All year round, November- April in Similan Islands

Where: Phang Nga Bay, Koh Phi Phi, Similan Islands

Swimming: Not required

Cost: Small yacht for 2 will cost around 2500 Baht. A larger yacht will cost you anywhere between 13000-19000 Baht depending on the season

6. Windsurfing 

If you want to do 2 activities- surfing and sailing simultaneously, windsurfing is your answer. Thailand is a popular destination in Asia for adventure sports like this one.

When: November-April, July-August in Pattaya 

Where: Phuket and Pattaya

Swimming: Basic 

Cost: 4000 Baht to learn windsurfing in a day

7. Snorkeling

10. Kayaking
