The disappearing message can last for 90 days, seven days, or one day. Follow the guide to make use of the disappearing message feature on your WhatsApp,

Step 1: Open your WhatsApp application on your computer or phone. Hit any of the people you were chatting with or having a conversation with.

Step 2: Click the name of the person at the very top whom you were chatting with.

Step 3: Scroll down a little and hit the disappearing message option

Step 4: Choose the length of time you wish the message to last for. It could be 24 hours, seven days, or 90 days

Step 5: Now tap the arrow available in the top-left corner

Finally, you have enabled the disappearing message option on your WhatsApp. Now any message sent to the person will be deleted at the prescribed time.

The WhatsApp disappearing message option gives control in your hand. It also improves privacy and gives you the freedom to connect in private. 

The best thing about the feature is that the existing chat won’t be affected and you can always initiate a new chat after setting the feature on.
