Beauty Rituals To Include In Your Self-Care Routine

Self-care has become essential in a time when we are all dealing with Coronavirus at the same time. The conversations have become overwhelming and thoughts inside our heads are driving us crazy. However, just because nothing is going according to your plan, you will stop taking care of yourself.

Everyone should have their own beauty routine which makes them happy and make them feel good. If you want to know few beauty rituals that you must include in your self-care routine whenever possible.

Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment

Do a deep conditioning hair treatment to pamper your crown. Make your own deep conditioning mask with ingredients like banana, yogurt, eggs and carrier oils. Alternatively, you can use ready-made masks easily available in the market. Apply all over your hair from roots to tips.

Next, steam your hair for a salon-like effect. You can easily do it at home by using a hot towel. Dip the towel in hot water, squeeze the excess water and wrap it on your head. Leave it on for at least 10-15 minutes. Steaming enhances the benefits of the mask. After this, you can shampoo and conditioner your hair like usual. You can do this ritual after applying hot oil to your hair also instead of a hair mask.

Facial Massage

Facial massage is so good for the skin yet so many people do not take out time to indulge in this beauty ritual. On a clean damp face, apply few drops of your favorite oil and massage your skin for 5-10 minutes with your fingers. If you are feeling fancy, you can also use a Gua Sha or jade roller to massage your face. Massaging your face increases the blood flow and relaxes your face muscles. It makes the facial skin look healthier and radiant.

To take this ritual up a notch, you can also scrub and mask your face with massaging in between. It will be the best skincare routine at home.

Lip Care/ Eye Care

Your daily skincare routine must include some sort of lip and eye care. For lips, consider gently scrubbing your lips with a damp towel, or a scrub. You can also use a weekly mask made of yogurt and turmeric. Keep your lips hydrated by applying a layer of lip balm.

The skin around the eyes is very gentle. Massage it with almond oil every day before sleeping. You can use a weekly mask under your eyes also. Grated potato is a great mask for those under-eye bags and circles.

Body Care

Often neglected, the body requires your attention too. Apply a mask or oil on your entire body before taking a bath. Keep it on for 30 minutes before washing it off. Make sure to nourish your body by applying a moisturizer.

On weekly basis, you should scrub your entire body as well. It prevents in-grown hair and gives you the smoothest skin. Do not forget to slather some cream on your body after washing off the scrub.

Manicure Pedicure

A glowy skincare routine isn’t possible without beautiful hands and feet. Pamper your hands and feet by doing a DIY manicure and pedicure. Cleanse, scrub, massage and mask with ingredients available in your kitchen. Or else, you can buy manicure-pedicure kits available in the market. Apply oil to your cuticles and finish off with the prettiest shade of nail paint.

De-clutter Your Vanity

For a healthy skincare routine, it is important that you use the right products. At regular intervals, check your products for any expiration dates. Even expired makeup products can damage your skin. Understand the ingredients of your skincare so that you can use them wisely.
