Mental Health: How To Deal With Anxiety At Home?

In simple terms, anxiety is a feeling of restlessness, fear, and uneasiness. In anxiety, negativity takes over you. It can happen to anyone in any circumstances. You can feel uneasy, restless, your heart rate will increase, sweating is the symptom of anxiety.


It can happen to anyone, at any time. And the reason depends on person to person. The most common reasons for anxiety are:

  1. Stressful situation
  2. Something out of your comfort zone
  3. Fear

There is no particular reason behind anxiety, this all depends on your mind. Anxiety is the reaction of your mind to reflect your fear or emotions.

How long?

Anxiety can be for 5 min to 6 months. It’s all depends on how you deal with your mind. In the worst case, it will lead to depression, which affects your mental health very badly. You can feel the anxiety for 5min to 6 months but the build-up can be made for a long time. So, make sure you will monitor your feelings.

Anxiety Vs. Depression

Anxiety is the feeling of negativity, fear whereas Depression is something that pushes you towards the darkness.

Depression generally leads you to harmful things like having suicide, self-harm.

How to deal?

You can deal with anxiety just by doing some changes in your day-to-day life.

    1. Wake up 

    Early to bed, early to rising, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise. Waking up helps you in cleaning your mind and helps you in positive thinking.

    Exercise helps in keeping your mind and healthy body. It refreshes your mind and helps you in positive thinking.

    1. Meditation


    Meditation is one of the cultural method and scientifically proven methods. It calms your mind and helps in positive thinking.

    1. Writing

    Writing your thoughts, giving your thought words is the easiest way to clean your mind. When you write it out you technically throw all the negative thoughts out of your mind.

    1. Favorite Activity

    Divert your mind from all the negative thoughts and invest your energy in something which you like the most. You can listen to music, dance or do anything which diverts your mind.

    1. Laughter

    As they say, laughter is the best medicine to have. You can always laugh out all your negative thoughts.
