MP Weather News: The state is on high alert due to bad weather. Non-stop rain in several areas flooded rivers and nearby areas. Around 2 gates of the Kolar dam in Bhopal are opened to control the situation.
All gates of Tawa Dam and Barna Dam are also opened which will increase the level of water in the surrounding areas.
However, the water level in the Narmada River is continuously crossing the threshold. As per weather experts, MP will continuously face heavy rainfall for the upcoming 2 days.
Indore, Ujjain, and Narmadapuram divisions are on very heavy to very heavy rain alert. Indore is facing continuous rain for the past 24 hours.

The city recorded 4-inch rainfall yesterday which is the highest rainfall of this year in the city. District collector has thus announced school holidays for all classes in the city.
Bhopal, Jabalpur, Dindori, Annuppur, and the Sagar districts are also on alert as heavy to very heavy rain is expected here.
More than five districts are on lightning alert as there is the possibility of poor weather in the upcoming days.
Ujjain, Narmadapuram, Bhopal, Sehdol, Jabalpur, Sagar, Rewa, Chambal, and Gwalior experienced lightening.
The bad weather has affected trains as well as two trains – Dahod-Bhopal MEMU and Ratlam-Bina Express- are canceled.
In Betul district, a small bridge on the Amphora River broke into two parts due to heavy rainfall. More than 40 houses are affected in the area. Nagpur highway was also closed for four hours.

On Tuesday, several devotees got stuck in the water current near Chhote Mahadev Bhopali temple. Luckily, nobody was injured and rescued safely.
In the last 24 hours, Chindwara and Panchmari receives 2-2 inches of rain whereas Betul and Ujjain received 1.5 inches of rain.
Narmadapuram, Ratlam, and Gwalior had 1-inch rain and other areas received less rainfall.
Now, Bhopal, Sagar, and Sehdol can experience heavy rainfall due to the low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal.
Except for Bundelkhand, Baghelkhand, and Mahakaushal, the entire state is under the influence of heavy rainfall.
Apart from MP, Pune, Mumbai, and the Vidarbha region in Maharashtra are on IMD's high alert too.
