MS Dhoni: Not Planning Retirement After IPL 2021, Want To Play Last Match In Chennai

Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15, 2020, and since then there have been questions around his future plans in the IPL. There was also a rumour that this season of IPL can possibly be Dhoni’s last since the IPL Player auctions for the 2022 tournament.
Dhoni confirmed on 5th October that he will continue to play for Chennai Super Kings and wants to bid everyone farewell in Chennai itself.

Dhoni expressed that he wants to play his last match in Chennai before bidding farewell and taking the final retirement.
“I couldn’t have chosen a better date to announce retirement. When it comes to my last match, you can always come and watch me play for Chennai Super Kings and that would be my farewell game. So all of you can still get the chance to bid me farewell. Hopefully, my last match will be in Chennai so I can meet you all and bid farewell to everyone,” the CSK captain answered a question in a virtual interview session
