PM Modi's Whole Schedule for 'Mahakal Lok' Inauguration Today

The magnificent 900-meter-long Mahakal Lok or Mahakal Corridor in Ujjain is finally going to be open for the public. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will do the inauguration of this beautiful architectural marvel.

The ceremony will be held in the evening at 6:30 pm. Around 200 saints and 60 thousand of people will witness the inauguration today.

Entire corridor is decorated with lights and flowers to enhance its beauty. Some of the flowers are even exported from outside the country. 

The 60-km long Indore-Ujjain highway is also illuminated with lights for the grand celebration.

Beautification of Mahakal Lok for Special Ceremony

From Nandi Hall of Mahakal to the surrounding 40 temples in Ujjain are embellished with flowers and lighting. 

As per the people of the temple committee, all the flowers are carefully chosen and brought from the seven cities.

Marigolds, roses, lilies, gerbera, tuberose, anthurium, and other varieties of flowers are chosen for decoration purposes. 

The interior of the Mahakal temple is fully covered with strings of these colorful flowers. 

PM Modi's Schedule for Today

Modi's schedule for Mahakal Lok inauguration is packed for today. Here are the full details.

1. He will arrive in Indore via flight from where he will take a helicopter ride to reach Ujjain. 

2. Around 6 pm, he will reach Mahakal temple in Ujjain. First, he will take a blessing from Mahakal baba and then begin his journey.

3. Modi will dedicate the Mahakal Lok to the country at 6:30 pm from the Nandi Gate of the corridor. 

4. Several artists will perform along the Mahakal route in front of Modi. He will see all the performances while taking a ride on an electrical vehicle. 

5. After the ride, he will address the public at Kartik Mela Ground around 8 pm. 

6. PM Modi will conclude his trip from here and then reach Indore via road. He will then take off for Delhi.

Mahakal Lok Inauguration to Go Live in 40 Countries

The Mahakal Lok inauguration will go live in 40 countries across the world.

Big screens are also installed on all the ghats across the Shipra river so that people in large numbers can see the ceremony. 

Around 700 artists from different states like MP, Gujarat, Jharkhand, and Kerala will perform in the inauguration ceremony. 

Singer Kailash Kher has a special performance today.  

Yesterday evening, Sonu Nigam came to Mahakal Lok Darpan and entertained the audience with patriotic and Bollywood songs.

6000 Policemen & 3 Helicopters from Airforce Deployed

Authorities are taking special care to ensure that everything goes as planned for today's big ceremony. 

Security is very tight across the two cities. Around 6000 policemen will guard the entire route from Indore to Ujjain. 

12 special teams of the Bomb Disposal Squad are also active in different spots. 

MI 17V5, a medium-lift chopper, is deployed on VIP duty for today.

4. Astha Garden

5. Shanti Palace Tiraha

6. Hariphatak over bridge

7. Triveni Sanghralaya

8. Har siddhi square

9. Shipra river bridge

10. Shihanstha Gate

Locals cannot access these roads and entry points after 3 pm today. However, the pilgrims can still visit the Mahakal temple during the inauguration. 

The Ganesh Mandap will get closed one hour prior to PM Modi's visit.

Mahakal Lok, which was earlier Mahakal Corridor, is prepared with a total cost of Rs. 856 Crore. It is spread across an area of 47 hectares. 

However, only the first phase of the project is completed and the second phase which includes the mega parking space will begin soon.

Preparation is already done and expected to complete by 30 September 2023.
