#ArrestRandeepHooda: Actor In Trouble For His Objectionable Comment On Mayawati As Old Video Goes Viral

An old video of actor Randeep Hooda went viral on social media for which the actor is facing severe criticism. According to netizens, Hooda told a casteist and sexist joke using the name of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh - Mayawati.

In the video, the actor is seen sitting on a stage with some other renowned personalities. Randeep says that he is going to make a ‘dirty joke’ and ends up mocking Bahujan Samaj Party President Mayawati.

The video did not go well with social media users and soon created outrage among people. Netizens not only called Randeep’s behavior 'sexist' and 'casteist' but also demanded the arrest of the actor.

A Twitter user posted, "If this does not explain our casteist and sexist society, especially towards Dalit women, I don't know what will. The 'joke', the audacity, and the crowd. Randeep Hooda, a top Bollywood actor talking about a Dalit woman, who has been the voice of the oppressed."

While some users were offended, others Tweeted that it was just a joke and people should understand the difference between joke and disrespect.

With all the chaos going around, it is yet to be seen whether actor Randeep Hooda apologises for his comment or not.
