Mumbai: A new twist is taking place in the Indian Premier League (IPL) after the announcement of the introduction of two new IPL franchises. The BCCI had launched the ITT (Invitation to Tender) to own & function one of the two new IPL teams.
Big personalities are grouping together to build these two new IPL teams. A recent report says Bollywood stars like Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone could place a bid for the franchise. Apart from these, two big names- Adani Group & RP-Sanjeev Goenka Groups will be buying the IPL teams.

Expected Mega Amount For Two New Franchises
RP Sanjeev Goenka Group and Adani Group will play a crucial role in the bidding process that will happen today. Other members include Torrent Pharma, Avram Glazer, Jindal Steel, Aurobindo Pharma. The two new IPL teams will play from the 2022 season.
The expected bid for the two IPL teams may go as high as INR 7000-10,000 crores. It is interesting to hear 22 companies have taken up the tender documents worth INR 10 lakhs. BCCI suspects only five to six bidders will seriously bid for the new IPL teams.
Cities In Race For IPL 2022 New Teams
The fight for the IPL 2022 slots will be fierce as various cities are likely to engage in the IPL franchise. Tenders will be provided to potential bidder options from 8-10 cities.
Cities running for the slots include Kochi, Ahmedabad, Pune, Guwahati, Indore, Kanpur, Lucknow, Trivandrum, and Raipur.
BCCI will undergo the terms of reference, and if all the conditions meet precisely, the winners will be declared.
