Arun Govil has been selected to play Lord Ram in the sequel Akshay Kumar’s movie Oh My God, called “Oh My God 2”.
Arun Govil is known for playing Lord Ram on the small screen and is now all set to reprise his role on the big screen. Arun Govil will be seen playing the role of Akshay Kumar as Lord Ram in the follow-up to the 2012 release. Directed by Amit Rai, OMG 2 will be produced by Ashwin Varde and Akshay Kumar
The role of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s 1987 TV series was played by Arun Govil, titled Ramayan and his name has become synonymous with the character of Lord Ram. Sources say that Akshay Kumar was rather keen on approaching Arun Govil for the role of Lord Ram. “We couldn’t find a more perfect and recognisable face than Arun Govil for the character of Lord Ram. The makers took the decision unanimously.”

Oh, My God 2 (OMG2) will have Akshay Kumar, with Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam, joining the cast. While the first film showed religious fanaticism and Indian superstitions, the sequel entails commentary on the Indian education system, according to the reports. Pankaj Tripathi will be the attention character, around whom the story will revolve.
The crew for the film was supposed to leave for Ujjain on October 13 for the filming, but the shoot has been postponed to October 23 after three of the crew members testing positive for Covid-19.

Akshay Kumar has several projects in his hands.
