One of the most popular and expensive football players, Cristiano Ronaldo, is in big trouble because of a phone-breaking incident after Manchester United lost a match against Everton on Saturday. The 37-year-old Portuguese player hurt a specially-abled kid from Everton while returning from the field.
After the incident, the kid is in shock and also got a bruise on his hand. To this, her mother and fans criticized Ronaldo for what he did to his young fan who came to watch his first match.
Some called the incident ‘horrible’ while others ask him to buy a new phone for a kid. Watch the video and fans’ reactions below.

I don't know if this is true but apparently the lad this happened to is @BLUENOSEBOB1878. He's a sound fella and didn't deserve this. He was only wanting a selfie with Ronaldo and to get his shirt to go with his Bryan Robson '85 cup-winners shorts. Shame. Keep your head up Bob ????

No one is allowed to to that to another person especially a kid. He’s supposed to be a role model.

Absolutely no excuse for this even if emotions are running high. I hope @Cristiano can be mature enough to apologise for his action and, at the very least, offer to replace this lads phone as it’s surely got to be broken!? It will cost him much more - £4£ - than it would R7

It all began when Ronaldo was stepping out the field after losing 0-1 to Everton in Goodison Park. One of the fans waiting eagerly to see the Manchester United no.7 tried to capture his glimpse in the camera. Frustrated Ronaldo hit his hand in anger and the kid’s phone fell down.
After realizing his action, Ronaldo has apologized to the 14-year-old kid via an Instagram post where he wrote
“It’s never easy to deal with emotions in difficult moments such as the one we are facing. Nevertheless, we always have to be respectful, and patient and set an example for all the youngsters who love the beautiful game. I would like to apologize for my outburst and, if possible, I would like to invite this supporter to watch a game at Old Trafford as a sign of fair play and sportsmanship.”
However, his apology is not enough for what he did. The kid’s mother Sarah Kelly talked to the media about the incident and said, it was her kid’s first match; he has dyspraxia and could not digest what happened at the match. Manchester United has also responded to the whole incident saying they are ready for any police inquiries.
