Veteran actor Surekha Sikri passed away on Friday due to a cardiac arrest. She was 75 years old. The news about her death was shared by her manager who also informed that the actress was suffering from post-brain stroke complications.
Following the news of her death, the Bollywood fraternity mourned the loss on social media. The 3-times award-winning actor was remembered by Neena Gupta, Manoj Bajpayee, Dia Mirza, Divya Dutta, Pooja Bhatt among others.

Sikri made her film debut with Amrit Nahata’s political satire ‘Kissa Kursi Ka’ in 1978. Her role in movies like ‘Mammo’ (1994) and ‘Sardari Begum’ (1996) was hugely applauded. Her last movie was Netflix’s ‘Ghost Stories’ (2020).
Surekha Sikri won 3 national awards in a career spanning over 5 decades.
