The nightlife in Goa may not be the same. Goa’s most iconic pub, the Tito's has been sold by the owners due to alleged harassment. Located at Baga Beach, Tito’s is one of the oldest and most happening spots in the area.
The co-owner of the pub stated that the local authorities, government officials, politicians, and NGOs have been harassing them continuously. Thus, Tito has been sold because of the pressure. The identity of the new owners has not been revealed yet.
Ricardo D'Souza and his brother Davis have been running the bar for a long time. D’Souza took to his social media on Monday to announce that Tito’s has been sold. He revealed how they have faced several issues during the pandemic.
In a Facebook post, Ricardo mentioned that they have sold all their business and do not have any plan to start any new venture in Goa.
He also claimed that the harassment by officials namely, Police, PDA, BDO, CRZ, Deputy collectors, NGOs, Panchayats, and sarpanches is the reason behind selling the business.
D’Souza also requested officials to hire his present employees as they have become jobless in the current situation. He added that he has not suffered any loss personally and has earned enough money to live a lavish life.
Netizens soon started reacting to the post with emotional memes, “End of an Era”, “Partying in Goa will never be the same”, “Tito’s no more”, “Goa’s Streets isn’t going to be the same anymore”.

Iconic club, defined clubbing and nightlife in Goa. I personally loved the place in early 2000 before it became more of a "I wanna be" place, but still did visit. Entire buzz around calangute and baga was Tito's!

The selling off of Tito’s, Goa’s iconic nightclub, feels like the end of something important. Tito’s typified North Goa’s frenetic nightlife in the 1990s and had a terrific vibe in its early days. Saddened to hear this
