The Little Andaman is an island situated on the Northern Andaman and Nicobar. It is one of the largest islands of the archipelago. There are several places to visit in Little Andaman along with plenty of things to do. The major tourist attraction of Little Andaman is the scenic waterfalls, flawless beaches with crystal clear water and various picturesque locations. 

Apart from being a beautiful landscape, the Little Andaman is a budget-friendly destination for tourists. The accommodations and food rates are quite cheap as compared to other places in Andaman Nicobar. 

How To Reach Little Andaman 

In case you are coming from Port Blair, take government-run ferries which interlink Port Blair with Haddo Wharf, Hut Bay and Phoenix Bay. The ferries will take 6 to 8 hours to reach the Little Andaman depending upon the weather conditions. 

Make sure you have booked your ferry tickets in advance, especially during the peak season. 

You can also reach here via helicopter which is quite expensive but it will save a lot of time.

1. Whisper Wave Waterfalls

If you are willing to experience true jungle life then you must visit Whisper Wave Waterfalls at least once. Though reaching is quite difficult due to rough pathways and humidity. In order to reach here, you will be required to ride 40 mins and then another 4 km on foot. 

While in Whisper Waves Waterfalls, beware of saltwater crocodiles as they may appear anytime especially when you are on the first level of the waterfalls. The Water has two levels, the first level has green waters while the 2nd level has slippery rocks from where you can jump to a freshwater pool.

  • Morning - 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM
  • Afternoon - 14:00 PM to 17:00 PM

2. White Surf Waterfall

Another waterfall in Little Andaman, the White Surf Waterfall is a beautiful place with a landscape view for anyone who loves being close to nature. A breathtaking Waterfalls especially when the sun rays touch the waters. 

While in White Surf Waterfall, trek around the waterfall with the help of safety measures or enjoy the elephant safari in the evergreen dense forest.

3. Butler Bay Beach

4. Red Palm Oil Plantation

The production of Red Palm Oil is quite famous in Little Andaman Island, thus a huge number of tourists visit the Red Palm Oil Plantation and witness its different processes. 5. Kalapathar Limestone Caves

The Kalapathar Limestone Caves are situated 10 km away from the town of Hut Bay. These magnificent caves are surrounded by land from one side and the rest is surrounded by sea. These caves are believed to be the deepest caves ever discovered by men, existing from over a million years ago. 

As you can see, these caves are formed due movement of the earth’s crust and changes in the water. The caves are still evolving in different forms. The nature-formed caves have amazing textures which makes them fascinating to watch.
