Tragedy King Dilip Kumar Passes Away At 98

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar passed away in Mumbai’s Hinduja’s Hospital after a prolonged illness. He was admitted to the hospital on June 30 after the complaint of breathlessness. He’s survived by his wife Saira Banu.

Born as Yousuf Khan in undivided India, the legendary actor made his film debut in 1944. He is known for his intense romantic and tragic roles in classics such as ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ and ‘Devdas’.

His debut film was ‘Jwar Bhata’ in 1944 and his last film was ‘Qila’ in 1998. His career includes cult classics like ‘Mughal-e-Azam’, ‘Naya Daur’ and ‘Ram and Shyam’. During the 1980s he moved to character roles with movies like ‘Karma’ and ‘Kranti’.

The Hindi cinema veteran will be buried at 5 pm at the Juhu Qabrastan at Santacruz Mumbai, as notified by his Twitter handle.
