India’s First Hot Air Balloon Wildlife Safari Established in Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh Forest ministry opened the First hot air balloon wildlife safari  in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, located in Umaria district on 30th December 2020 to boost tourism in the state. It is quite exciting especially for the people who love sightseeing of animals. Now one more trip you can add in your Bucket list.

Forest minister Vijay Shah said this activity will be restricted to buffer areas only as it is setup under the Buffer Mein Safar vision of Chief Minister of the state Shivraj Singh Chauhan, people can enjoy the aerial view of tigers, sloth bears , leopards and much more. Now there is no need to go to Africa to acquire the safari rides, it can be discovered in our country too.

Hot air balloon wildlife safari in MP

With the coming of Wildlife Safari we can say it’s a feather in a cap for MP and for our nation too. Well for the frequent wildlife travelers Bandhavgarh national park was always the desired destination, so we can say hot air balloon wildlife safari is quite suitable and meant to be made for this place only and this was made possible by Jaipur based Sky waltz company.

 It’s the first such hot air ballooning company to receive certification and authorization from DGCA( Directorate General of Civil Aviation). Sky waltz only will be responsible for operating Safari reserves in Bandhavgarh Tiger reserve.

Hot air balloon wildlife safari in Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh is also considered a Tiger State and accommodates numerous sanctuaries and national parks. Forest ministry said it always strives to provide its tourists and visitors with distinctive options of indulging in adventure. And it is also planning to create such services in Pench, Kanha and Panna Tiger reserves as well. Hope soon we will get to see more safari parks.

How to reach Bandhavgarh National Park?

Bandhavgarh is situated at Vindhya ranges of Madhya Pradesh and it consists of Core and Buffer areas which are 105 and 400 sq kms respectively. It is usually considered the part of Umaria District as it is just 35 km away from it. One has to avail the cab services to reach Bandhavgarh after reaching its nearby districts.

By Flight

If someone avails air services then Jabalpur is the best option, you can land at Jabalpur airport  and avail cab services to national park. Jabalpur is just 200 km away from Bandhavgarh.

By Train

Railway Stations which are in proximity to Bandhavgarh are Katni, Satna and Umaria. Katni is 100km and Satna is 135 Km away. One can land at these respective stations and book a cab.
