Former Indian captain and the current BCCI president, Sourav Ganguly has tested positive for Covid-19 and been taken to a city hospital, informed the cricket board on Tuesday.
Ganguly was admitted to a hospital late Monday night. This was after his RT-PCR test turned out to be positive and was a precautionary step.
The 49-year-old is vaccinated both doses and has been travelling as well as taking part in all professional cricket-related activities.
A BCCI source, who is keeping track of Ganguly's health, told PTI that he was taken to Woodlands Nursing Home last night and is currently in a stable condition.
Ganguly underwent emergency angioplasty due to his cardiac issues, twice in the last year.
Snehasish Ganguly, his elder brother tested positive for COVID earlier this year.
