What is the Story Behind “Fake Pakistani Mr Bean?”

It all started a couple of days ago when a Zimbabwean Ngugi Chasura tweeted “As Zimbabweans, we won't forgive you. You once gave us that Fraud Pak Bean instead of Mr Bean Rowan. We will settle the matter tomorrow. Just pray that rain doesn’t save you.”

Replying to this hateful tweet, a Pakistani fan asked him to explain the matter. 

Ngugi answered, “they gave us Pak Bean instead of Mr Bean in one of our local events called the Agricultural show”. 

He also shared a pic of the Pakistani look-alike who arrived at that event.

Thereafter, when Zimbabwe defeated Pakistan yesterday, these tweets went viral on social media and started a digital war between Zimbabwe and Pakistan. 

Even the President of Zimbabwe showed his anger via Twitter. He wrote “What a win for Zimbabwe! Congratulations to the Chevrons. Next time, send the real Mr Bean… #PakvsZim.”

In response, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif replied “We may not have the real Mr Bean, but we have real cricketing spirit … and we Pakistanis have a funny habit of bouncing back :) Mr President: Congratulations. Your team played really well today.”

Who is this Fake Pakistani Mr Bean?

The real name of this fake Pakistani Mr Bean is Asif Muhammad. He is a well-known comedian in Pakistan who looks exactly like Mr Bean and tries to copy him. 

It’s also a truth that Asif once visited Zimbabwe in place of Mr Bean. He also took a lot of money from them. 

The imposter has also done an advertisement with popular Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi. 

What Did Shahid Afridi Say About It?

In an interaction with Samaa TV, Afridi talked about his advertisement with fake Mr Bean (Asif Muhammad). He said “He totally looks like him. I was completely confused.”

When the host asked Afridi about the fake Mr Bean controversy, he said “If he has made money, then it’s his talent, hai na yaar!”
